Pune: A major fire broke out at Sri Sainath Furniture Godown in Vitthalwadi, Sinhagad road late last night at around 01:10 am. The fire brigade control room was immediately informed and within no time, tankers were dispatched from Sinhagad, Navale, Janta, Kothrud, Erandwane and headquarters to the spot. The fire was in a massive form when the fire brigade arrived at the scene, and the firefighters started dousing the flames by spraying water from all sides.

As the main door of the godown was locked, the firefighters had to use bold cutters to break through the fire-fighting equipment to enter inside.
