Shivaji Nagar constituency Member Of Legislative Assembly Siddharth Shirole held an on-site review today. He said, “I assessed the progress of the multi-level flyover and vehicular ramp construction at the Pune University Junction. Representatives from Tata (contractor), PMRDA, PMC, and the Pune City Traffic Police joined the inspection.”

The project has faced repeated delays due to construction complexities and traffic adjustments. However, contractors have committed to opening the ramp and roads from Bremen Circle towards Agriculture College by April. Furthermore, the two critical ramps linking Aundh and Baner to Ganeshkhind Road are set to become operational before the monsoon.

Officials from PMC, PMRDA, and Tata have also assured prompt action to remove debris and realign barricades along the roads. They pledged to repair potholes to improve traffic flow. The Pune Traffic Police have committed to deploying more personnel and optimizing traffic management.

Shirole added, “I have emphasized that these revised deadlines are final. The inconvenience caused to commuters has been substantial, and no further delays will be acceptable. I will continue to monitor the situation closely. Once completed, this flyover will significantly reduce congestion at this vital entry point to Pune.”
