Pune News: Health & Blood Donation Camp Organized In Viman Nagar's Rohan Mithila Phase 1 To Mark International Women's Day
Pune, March 10, 2025: To commemorate International Women’s Day, Bharat Vikas Parishad Pune East, in collaboration with Rohan Mithila 1 Co-operative Housing Society, Viman Nagar, Pune, organized a grand health and blood donation camp. The event was held with the support of BJ Medical College and Sassoon Hospital, Pune, and received an excellent response.
The camp was inaugurated by lighting the ceremonial lamp and garlanding the idols of Bharat Mata and Swami Vivekananda. This was done by dignitaries including Rohan Mithila President Sudhakar Auti, Secretary Reshma Waikar, Bharat Vikas Parishad President Shankarrao Mugave, and Symbiosis Law College’s Chief Administrator Gajanan Radkar. The inauguration also featured a rendition of the patriotic song Vande Mataram by Vaishali Patki and Jyoti Baheti.
Medical experts conducted screenings for breast cancer, cataracts, obesity, oral health, and thyroid-related issues, providing appropriate consultations. Additionally, awareness about organ donation was promoted during the event. The initial session was moderated by Jyoti Baheti.
Several individuals contributed to the camp’s success, including Venkatesh Patki, Ranjit Nambisan, Sanjay Raj Kondwar, Devakisan Baheti, Prithviraj Mutha, Vilas Surange, Subhash Akolkar, and Joginder Singh Gulati.
