Pimpri-Chinchwad, September 16, 2024 – Employees working in Hinjawadi IT  Forum are voicing strong concerns over deteriorating infrastructure, worsening road conditions, and escalating traffic problems that are impacting their daily commutes.

Sagar Nandakishor Birari, along with All Other IT Forum Members Of Hinjawadi IT Park and the Engineering Cell of the BJP, has brought these issues to light, citing significant challenges that have persisted since 2011. Heavy monsoon rains have exacerbated the problem, turning roads into a series of potholes and increasing the risk of accidents due to damaged paver blocks.

Hinjawadi IT Park, a key employment and revenue hub, has witnessed the exit of over 37 IT companies in the past decade, primarily due to infrastructure deficiencies, including narrow roads and severe traffic congestion. The situation is further aggravated by ongoing metro construction and the lack of on-site traffic police, contributing to daily traffic jams.

Employees have called for immediate intervention, requesting meetings in Hinjewadi to address these concerns and seeking support from Industry Minister Uday Samant to improve the infrastructure and management of the area.

Pradeep More, an IT professional, recently informed Pune Pulse that a meeting was held with MP Shrirang Barne to discuss the challenges faced by IT professionals in and around Hinjawadi. More emphasized the need for responsible authorities to take a proactive role in addressing these issues and delivering the infrastructure and facilities that taxpayers are entitled to.
