Pune News: Kondhwa Police Crack Down On Bike Thieves, Recover 20 Stolen Vehicles
In a remarkable achievement, the Kondhwa Police Station officials have seized 20 stolen bikes worth Rs. 7,30,000 from three thieves in Attal Sarai, Pune. Acting on instructions from Senior Police Inspector Vinay Patankar to prevent vehicle theft, Police Sub-Inspector Balaji Digole and his team analyzed CCTV footage and conducted technical surveillance to identify the suspects.
The accused, Gaus Mirasahab Shaikh (20), Shahrukh Qasim Shaikh (25), and Zubair Ahmed Mangrule (29), were caught and confessed to stealing 20 bikes, including Bullets, Splendors, Activas, and more, from various areas in Pune city and rural areas. The breakthrough led to the solving of nine crimes in Kondhwa Police Station, two crimes in Hadapsar Police Station, two crimes in Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station, and one crime each in Wanwadi, Mundhwa, Lonikand, Yawat, Chikhli, and Chinchwad police stations.
Additionally, a stolen bike from Andhra Pradesh, AP 28 BJ 0572, was also recovered. The successful operation was guided by Deputy Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil, Eastern Regional Division, Deputy Commissioner of Police R Raja, and Commissioner of Police, Wanwadi Division, Vinay Patankar.
The Kondhwa Police team’s diligent efforts have brought relief to citizens and sent a strong message against vehicle theft. The team consisted of Senior Police Inspector Vinay Patankar, Police Inspector Man Singh Patil, Police Inspector (Crime) Lekhaji Shinde, Police Sub-Inspector Balaji Digole, and Police Constables Satish Chavan, Nilesh Desai, Vishal Memane, Gorakhnath Chinke, Sagar Bhosale, Santosh Bansude, Shahid Sheikh, Laxman Holkar, Suraj Shukla, and Sujit Madan.
