A case has emerged concerning the sexual assault of a young woman by someone she met on a marriage registration website. The Kondhwa police have lodged a complaint against a man in this regard.
The individual named in the complaint is a 34-year-old resident of B.T. Kawade Road, Ghorpadi. A 32-year-old woman has reported the incident to the Kondhwa police station, which took place between April 2018 and December 2023.
He assaulted her sexually under the guise of marriage. After the young woman became pregnant, he threatened her and forced her to undergo an abortion. Subsequently, he attempted to engage in physical relations with her again. When she refused, he threatened to release explicit photos and videos on social media.
