Pune News: NDRF recovers four bodies after 72 hours of search operation in Indapur Taluka

Pune: Two days after four labourers in Indapur, Pune, were trapped under a mass of soil and concrete that fell into a well as it was being built as part of the inner wall, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) recovered four bodies on Friday morning.

As per information, the incident took place on Tuesday evening in the village of Mhasobawadi, located in Indapur Taluka. The discovery of the initial body occurred 65 hours later, followed by the recovery of two other labourers after an hour and a half.

Deepak Tiwari, NDRF Head said, ”All four bodies have been successfully recovered. The search is currently ongoing for confirmation purposes and the operation will be concluded thereafter.”

The four labourers have been identified as Somnath Laxman Gaikwad (34), Javed Akbar Mulani (34), Parshuram Bansilal Chavan (30), and Manoj Maruti Sawant (50) by Pune Rural Police.
