Pune: The Lonikand police have instructed all house owners in Wagholi to submit all the required and relevant details of tenants. The move comes after the arrest of terrorists who were living on rent in Kondhwa emerged recently.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Vishwajit Kaingade, Senior Police Inspector, Lonikand Police Station said, “If plot holders, building owners, land owners etc in the areas under Lonikand police station refuse to provide all the information about tenants, legal and strict action will be taken against them. The Lonikand police have strictly started taking action against such house owners after the arrest of terrorists, who were living as tenants in a society in Kondhwa, has come to the forefront.”

As per information, the Pune city police have come into action mode and, just like the implementation of strict rental laws in the Kondhwa & Mundhwa areas of Pune city, the Lonikand police have appealed to all house & flat owners to submit the information of the tenants at the police station.

Lonikand police have warned that, under Section 144 of CrPC (Code of Criminal Procedure), strict legal action will be taken against the owner of the premises if the information of the tenants is not submitted to the police station.
