Pune : A Unique Celebration in Pimple Saudagar for Handloom Day To Enthrall Buyers on August 6
Pune: In a bid to enhance public awareness about the versatile applications of handloom beyond traditional perceptions, Swabhimani Odia Women’s World is gearing up to host a special Handloom Day Celebration on August 6th, 2023, in Pimple Saudagar.
Adyasa Panigrahi, Co-Organizer of the event, shared with Pune Pulse, “This captivating event will showcase a variety of handloom styles, demonstrating its potential beyond sarees. Handloom extends to dresses, party wear, and numerous other forms. Our objective is to disseminate knowledge about its manifold applications.”
The central goal of this grand celebration is to champion handloom, shed light on the challenges faced by handloom weavers, cultivate a sense of pride in regularly adorning handloom creations, and propagate awareness globally.
In a unified display of solidarity, members of Swabhimani Odia Women’s World will convene clad in Odia handloom attire. The event will facilitate discussions on promoting handloom and integrating it seamlessly into various occasions. The discourse will extend to empowering women financially and imparting financial literacy. The platform will also provide opportunities for women entrepreneurs to showcase and market their products, bolstering their businesses.
