Pune News : Pakistani citizen living illegally in Pune since 2015 caught by Pune police

Pune: Pune city police have arrested a 22-year-old Pakistani national for living illegally in Bhawani Peth since 2015. The accused, identified as Mohammad Aman Ansari, was reportedly staying near Chudaman Taalim in Bhawani Peth.

According to police sources, Ansari had also obtained a passport using forged documents in Pune and had even traveled to Dubai using it. The Khadak police have registered a case under IPC 420, 468, 471, Section 14 of the Foreign Persons Act 1946 and Section 12 (1A) (A) of the Passport Act.

Kedar Pradeep Jadhav, a police personnel, had filed a complaint in this regard. Further investigations are currently underway.
This incident highlights the need for stricter measures to be put in place to prevent illegal immigration and the use of forged documents. The authorities must take necessary steps to ensure that such incidents are not repeated in the future.

Deputy commissioner of police (DCP, special branch) R Raja informed, “Special branch received the information of a Pakistani citizen who was found residing in Bhavani peth possessing Indian passport. The accused has been arrested by Khadak police and the case has been filed against him. Accordingly, further investigation will be held on how the person obtained the Indian passport will be investigated.”
