Pune News: PCMC Unveils 'Waste to Wonder' Art Installations Featuring Dinosaurs and Car Evolution Sculptures In Pimple Saudagar
The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has launched an innovative “Waste to Wonder” project, transforming scrap and discarded materials into sustainable artworks. As part of this initiative, 15 life-sized dinosaur sculptures have been installed at various parks, Linear Garden including Rajmata Jijau Garden in Pimple Gurav.
Additionally, the project showcases the Evolution of Cars through eight unique sculptures, depicting the transformation of passenger vehicles from 1886 to 2016. These installations highlight the creative reuse of waste materials while adding an artistic and educational dimension to the city’s landscape.
The initiative, aimed at boosting tourism and promoting sustainability, has been completed at a cost of ₹8.01 crore. The newly unveiled artworks are expected to attract visitors and raise awareness about environmental conservation through creative expression.
