Pune: Pet Cockatiel ‘Glory’ Goes Missing, Owner Offers Rs. 2,000 Reward
PUNE: A pet cockatiel named Glory has gone missing from the Gulmohar Habitat-2 area near Salunkhe Vihar Road. The three-year-old female cockatiel, which has a distinctive grey color with black spots, flew away on February 11.
The distressed owner, Saif Ali Khan, is seeking help from Pune residents to locate the lost bird. A reward of Rs. 2,000 has been announced for anyone who can bring Glory home safely.
Cockatiels are social birds and can become easily disoriented if lost outdoors. As a domesticated pet, Glory may not be able to survive for long in unfamiliar surroundings. Khan urges Pune locals, especially in the Salunkhe Vihar area, to keep an eye out for the bird.
Glory’s physical features include a white face, black-spotted grey feathers, and a long tail. If found, individuals are requested to contact Saif Ali Khan at 9511799053 or email [email protected].
Lost pet incidents have been rising in urban areas, and pet owners are advised to take preventive measures such as wing trimming and secure enclosures. Those who spot a cockatiel in their neighborhood should approach it gently, as these birds are often friendly but may be scared in an unfamiliar environment.
