Pune News: SMS Over Disconnection Of Water Connection Is Fake, Clarifies PCMC
Pimpri, September 26, 2024: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation is currently taking action to disconnect the water connections of properties with outstanding water bills. Through SMS and other means, citizens are regularly reminded to pay their dues.Â
However, fraudulent SMS messages are being sent under the name of “Rakesh Mishra, Municipal Officer,” stating that the water connection will be disconnected at 9 PM tonight and urging citizens to contact the number 8009015135. These SMS messages are scams aimed at deceiving citizens.
The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s Tax Collection Department Assistant Commissioner, Avinash Shinde, has urged citizens to ignore such messages.
