Pune News: Stray Dog Attack In Moshi: Minor Girl Injured, Citizens Demand Action
A disturbing incident of stray dog attack has shaken the residents of Moshi, Pimpri Chinchwad, after a minor girl, was brutally attacked by a pack of stray dogs. The incident occurred when Priya was crossing the road in the Crystal Society area of Moshi.
Eyewitnesses reported that the dogs attacked the child directly, inflicting severe injuries. Local citizens are outraged and concerned about the safety of their children, citing the increasing number of stray dog attacks in the area.
“This is not an isolated incident. These stray dogs have been attacking small children, and it’s only a matter of time before someone is killed,” said a worried resident. The incident has sparked widespread fear among parents, who are now demanding action from the authorities.
Vasant Borate, former corporator of the NCP Sharad Pawar group, has issued an ultimatum to the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC). “If the PCMC fails to tackle the stray dog menace within the next seven days, we will be forced to take matters into our own hands,” Borate warned.
Borate demanded immediate action from the PCMC, including catching and sterilizing stray dogs, providing adequate medical treatment to victims, and increasing surveillance and patrols in affected areas. Citizens have echoed Borate’s demands, calling for swift action to ensure public safety.
The PCMC has been criticized for its inaction on the stray dog issue, with residents accusing the authorities of neglecting their responsibilities. As the situation continues to worsen, residents are living in fear of stray dog attacks.
