Pimpri, June 21, 2025: The Tax Assessment and Collection Department of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has announced that property owners have only 10 days left to avail various rebates on property tax payments. A 10% discount is available for those who pay their property tax online before June 30, 2025. Additionally, properties registered under a woman’s name can receive up to 30% discount. PCMC has appealed to citizens to take maximum advantage of these benefits.

Under the ‘Siddhi Initiative’, women’s self-help groups have distributed bills to over **6.35 lakh property holders** through door-to-door outreach. Meanwhile, seizure notices have also been sent to several defaulters, and PCMC has warned that confiscation action will follow soon. From April to June 19, the municipal corporation has already collected ₹359.85 crore in property tax.

For FY 2024–25, dishonoured cheques have resulted in unpaid taxes amounting to ₹10.15 crore. PCMC has clarified that those whose cheques have bounced will now need to pay the amount **in cash or online only.

Rebates Available Until June 30:

50% rebate for freedom fighters or their spouses on one residential property

30% rebate on one residential property registered in a woman’s name

50% rebate for individuals with 40% or more disability on one property

5% rebate for full advance payment of the total tax amount

Special Rebates for Private Educational Institutions:

1. 69% rebate for properties registered under the “Majhi Milkat Majhi Aakarani” scheme

2. 5% rebate on newly assessed properties

3. 2% rebate for institutions with consistent tax payments for three years

4. 5% rebate for lump-sum online payments between April and June

5. 100% rebate for families of ex-servicemen and martyred soldiers

6. 2% rebate for electric vehicle charging stations

The rebates offered are a recognition of timely taxpayers. Citizens should pay their dues before June 30 and contribute to the city’s development.”
