Pune : Over 60,000 new electricity connections issued by MSEDCL in three months

Pune: In a significant development, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) or Mahavitaran has given 60000 plus new electricity connections to consumers in just 3 months.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Rajendra Pawar, Chief Engineer, Mahavitaran Pune said, “Mahavitaran has sped up the work of providing electricity connections to customers in 24 hours in urban areas & 48 hours in rural areas. More than 60 thousand new connections have been given to customers in just 3 months. New electricity meters are readily available at Mahavitaran. Those who make payment to buy them get the meter installed immediately.”
As per information, Pune has expedited the provision of new electricity connections as 60,970 new electricity connections have been made available to customers in just three months.
After the submission of the application, the technical feasibility of the connection is checked by Mahavitaran staff at the connection point. A quotation for electricity connection is prepared and given to the concerned customers. After paying the quotation amount, a new electricity connection is given to the concerned customers.
All procedures for single or three-phase new power connections up to 20 kW or 27 HP load are being done by the branch offices. The process of providing electricity connections up to 50 KW is done by the sub-division offices of Mahavitaran.
