Pune: Parge Nagar Residents In Kondhwa Sees Progress On Road Safety, Traffic, And Lighting Initiatives
Pune, November 11, 2024: Following a joint meeting on October 6 with senior officials from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and the Traffic Police, along with local leaders and representatives from Parge Nagar housing societies, significant steps are being taken to improve road safety and infrastructure in the area.
As part of the collaborative initiative, the following projects are currently underway:
1. Road Cleanup: The PMC has initiated a cleanup of the New Road to ensure safer and cleaner access for residents and visitors.
2. Traffic Management: In response to concerns about congestion, letters have been submitted to the Kondhwa Traffic Police to introduce several measures:
– New Road: No parking zones will be enforced on both sides of the road.
– P1/P2 Parking Zones: From the Welcome Hall to the Parge Ground–New Road–Kumar Societies tri-junction, designated parking zones (P1/P2) will be introduced.
– Kondhwa-NIBM Link Road: Parallel parking for two-wheelers and four-wheelers will be established, extending from Raviraj Apartments to Café Malang.
3. Streetlight Repairs: Street Lights throughout the neighborhood are being repaired and reinstalled to improve nighttime visibility and safety.
