Pune: Pashan–Sutarwadi Main Road Remains In Poor Condition For Six Months, Residents Seek Prompt Repairs
Pune, July 17, 2026: Residents of Pashan have raised concerns over the deteriorating condition of the Pashan–Sutarwadi Main Road near Shiv Mandir, claiming the road has remained damaged for the past six months with little visible improvement.
According to local residents, the uneven and pothole-ridden stretch has made daily commuting difficult, forcing vehicles to slow down significantly and resulting in frequent traffic congestion, especially during peak hours.

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has reportedly assured residents that the road will be upgraded with a cement concrete road. However, locals say the project is yet to begin and are demanding immediate temporary repairs to improve road safety and traffic flow until the permanent work starts.
Residents have urged the civic body to level the damaged surface or carry out patchwork as an interim measure, arguing that waiting for the full-scale concrete road project is causing unnecessary hardship to commuters.
With the monsoon adding to the road’s poor condition, residents hope the PMC will take up temporary restoration work without delay while expediting the proposed concrete road project.
