The procession was followed by a symbolic reenactment of Shiv Chhatrapati Janm (Palana Sohala). The traditional cradle ceremony, performed before a large gathering, commemorated the birth of the Maratha warrior king and evoked an emotional response from attendees.

A major highlight of the celebration was a live Povada performance narrating the historic Afzal Khan Vadh. The powerful rendition of the heroic episode captivated the audience, drawing thunderous applause and reinforcing admiration for Shivaji Maharaj’s bravery and strategic acumen.

Residents also witnessed a Lathi-Kathi (stick combat) demonstration that emphasized self-defense and women’s empowerment, aligning with the values of strength and preparedness associated with the Maratha ruler’s legacy.

A traditional Vyakhyan (narrative discourse) on “Shivrayanchi Agra hun Sutka” further enriched the audience with historical insights, deepening their understanding of Shivaji Maharaj’s daring escape from Agra.

Reflecting a sense of social responsibility, the society collaborated with Purnam Eco Vision Foundation to distribute eco-friendly handbags made from recycled sarees, promoting sustainability and environmental awareness.

The event concluded with a spirited Shiv Garjana, followed by the Shiv Chhatrapati Aarti and distribution of Maha Prasad. Organizers said the celebration was a tribute to unity, tradition and the enduring inspiration drawn from Shivaji Maharaj’s life and ideals.

Residents described the occasion as a collective expression of devotion and a reaffirmation of the spirit of Swarajya.
