Pune, November 4, 2025: The Petrol Dealers Association, Pune, led by President Dhruv Ruparel, along with Senior Mentor and Past President Sameer Ladkat, and members Keyur Shah and Bhagyendra Chudasama, met Dr. Anil Kumar Jain, Chairperson, Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB), to raise urgent concerns over the mounting strain on Pune’s CNG infrastructure.

The Association urged PNGRB to take immediate steps to expand the number of CNG stations, ensure uniform pricing, and maintain uninterrupted supply across the district.

With the sharp rise in CNG-powered vehicles, Pune’s current infrastructure is under heavy pressure, leading to long queues and public inconvenience.

“Pune is leading India’s clean fuel revolution — but our infrastructure hasn’t kept pace with our ambition,” said Dhruv Ruparel, President, Petrol Dealers Association, Pune. “If we truly want to breathe cleaner air and move faster toward a sustainable future, expanding the CNG network is not a choice — it’s an urgent necessity.”

The Association emphasized that a stronger and wider CNG network will not only reduce waiting times but also significantly cut vehicular emissions, supporting Pune’s vision of a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable city.

The Petrol Dealers Association, Pune, reaffirmed its commitment to work closely with all authorities to ensure the above issues are addressed on priority. The Association also stated that it will meet MP and Minister Murlidhar Mohol to further pursue the matter, and if required, escalate the issue to the Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas to ensure that the citizens of Pune truly benefit from a robust and reliable CNG network.
