Pune: Pimpri Chinchwad Police Foil Heinous Murder Plot By Juvenile Gang, Seize Firearms
Pune, November 7, 2025 — The Pimpri Chinchwad police have uncovered and foiled a shocking murder plot orchestrated by a gang of juveniles, sparking widespread concern across the city. The accused, all minors, had planned to kill a local rival, Ravi Sasane, following a dispute near a mall in Aundh over a trivial matter.
According to police reports, the conflict escalated from a minor argument over a food cart, which had earlier led to a physical altercation. Aryan Fund and his juvenile accomplices allegedly decided to avenge the dispute by targeting Sasane. They held meetings to plan the attack and even intended to shoot him.
To carry out the plan, the gang contacted Guru Singh from Madhya Pradesh and procured two pistols and live cartridges. The group awaited the right opportunity to attack, but the Anti-Extortion Unit of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Crime Branch received confidential information about the plot. Acting swiftly, the team laid a trap at an open area behind a hospital in Sangvi, where the accused were supposed to meet.
Police immediately apprehended the gang upon arrival, seizing the weapons. A total of eight individuals, including six juveniles, Aryan Fund, and Guru Singh, have been booked at the Sangvi police station.
Police Commissioner Vinaykumar Chaubey has directed all Crime Branch teams to monitor social media accounts linked to violent or provocative activity. Authorities noted that the accused were sharing threatening posts online, which helped police track their movements and prevent the planned attack. The investigation is ongoing.
