Pune: PMC Demolishes 16,700 Sq Ft Of Unauthorized Constructions Across Kondhwa, Mundhwa And Undri
Pune, June 30, 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) carried out a major demolition drive against unauthorized constructions in several parts of the city on Tuesday, removing a total of 16,700 square feet of illegal structures.

The action was undertaken under the directions of the Municipal Commissioner and supervised by Somnath Bankar, Deputy Commissioner of the Encroachment and Unauthorized Construction Removal Department. The drive commenced at 9 a.m. and covered Pune Peth, Shivneri Nagar, Mitha Nagar in Kondhwa, Keshav Nagar in Mundhwa, and Undri.

Officials from the Construction Development Department, including Junior Engineers Kisan Chavan, Ramdas Kadu and Ramiz Faras, along with Deputy Engineers Virendra Tilekar and Sandeep Shinde, and Executive Engineer Santosh Lanjekar, were present during the operation.

During the enforcement drive, both temporary and permanent unauthorized structures were demolished, clearing approximately 16,700 square feet of encroached area.

The operation was carried out with the assistance of one PMC police officer, 13 police personnel, 55 Maharashtra Security Force (MSF) personnel, four JCB machines, five gas cutters, eight breakers, and 30 labourers to ensure the smooth execution of the demolition drive.
