Pune: PMC Demolishes Over 92,000 Sq. Ft. of Illegal Structures in Baner
Pune: In a major anti-encroachment drive, the Pune Municipal Corporation’s (PMC) Building Development Department, Zone 3, carried out demolition action on November 7, 2025, at Baner, from Medipoint Chowk to Jupiter Hospital Chowk.
The operation targeted unauthorized shops, nurseries, furniture outlets, vegetable stalls, hotels, tin sheds, and permanent illegal constructions on both sides of the road.
During the drive, approximately 92,535 sq. ft. of unauthorized structures were cleared.
The action was conducted under the guidance of the Superintendent Engineer and Executive Engineer of Zone 3, along with the Deputy Engineer, Junior Engineer, and other staff members.
The demolition was carried out with the support of the police force, two JCB machines, one gas cutter, and ten encroachment workers.
