Pune: PMC Launches Our Idol, Your Price Initiative To Celebrate Eco-Friendly Ganeshotsav 2024
85 Ganesh Idol Donation Centers Established Across Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation For Eco-Friendly Ganeshotsav
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has urged citizens to celebrate an eco-friendly Ganeshotsav in 2024 by using natural and biodegradable materials for decorations and opting for clay idols instead of Plaster of Paris (POP).
In collaboration with Liberty Earthware Art, PMC’s environment department has introduced the initiative “Our Idol, Your Price,” offering clay idols made from natural materials that dissolve in water within two hours. The water used for immersion can be reused in household plants.
This initiative will take place from September 5 to 7, 2024, at Ghole Road Art Gallery, Shivajinagar, Pune, from 10 AM to 6 PM, providing eco-friendly idols to citizens. All are encouraged to participate in this initiative for a sustainable celebration.
