Pune : PMC to launch online ticketing service for Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is launching an online ticketing service for the Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park in response to high demand, particularly on weekends and public holidays when the footfall can reach up to 7 to 8,000 visitors. The long queues for tickets can be cumbersome for staff and visitors alike, which the new online facility aims to address.

The software for the online ticketing system is ready to use, and there will be no additional fees. The move was announced as part of the municipal budget for 2023-24 by PMC commissioner Vikram Kumar.

When Pune Pulse spoke to Dr Rajkumar Jadhav, he said that the system should start soon. The rates will remain same for both online and offline tickets. This system will reduce the waiting time at the zoo of the visitors. The ticketing system will be available throughout the year.

Rahul Jagtap, IT dept in charge, PMC said, “From our end, we are ready with the system to launch. The zoo and garden department is looking forward to set up the system at the zoo.”
