The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is launching an online ticketing service for the Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park in response to high demand, particularly on weekends and public holidays when the footfall can reach up to 7 to 8,000 visitors. The long queues for tickets can be cumbersome for staff and visitors alike, which the new online facility aims to address.
The software for the online ticketing system is ready to use, and there will be no additional fees. The move was announced as part of the municipal budget for 2023-24 by PMC commissioner Vikram Kumar.
