PUNE: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Private Limited (PMPML) has introduced a new program called ‘Pravasi Mitra’ to engage citizens and gather feedback about its services. The main objective of this initiative is to improve the quality of public transportation in the city and encourage greater participation from commuters.

As per the information provided by PMPML officials, participants in the ‘PMPML Pravasi Mitra’ program will have the opportunity to raise concerns and provide feedback on various aspects of PMPML services. This includes addressing issues related to driver and conductor behavior, the condition of bus stops, suggestions for new bus stop locations or routes, and acknowledging commendable services provided by PMPML employees, including drivers and conductors.

Once enrolled in the program, participants will receive official identity cards as ‘PMPML Pravasi Mitra.’ Additionally, ten members will be selected each year to receive a complimentary one-year pass for traveling on PMPML buses. The selection process will be based on overall performance and engagement throughout the year.

Those interested in joining the ‘PMPML Pravasi Mitra’ initiative can submit their details, including name, address, profession, Aadhar Card number, a colour passport photo, and a statement of intent to collaborate with PMPML, without any associated fees.

The Chief Transport Officer of PMPML will review the submissions and decide on the issuance of identity cards to enrolled members. This innovative initiative demonstrates PMPML’s commitment to fostering a collaborative relationship with commuters and continuously improving the quality of its services. By directly involving citizens in providing feedback and suggestions, PMPML aims to create a more responsive and commuter-friendly public transportation system in Pune.
