Pune: Pune City Police has created & released a ‘Digital Road Map’ for the ease of Ganesh devotees in Pune city.

· Diversions that’ll be active at that time

· Location of our help desks

· Message from Commissioner of Pune City Police”

Following are the road closures & diversions in Pune:

· Since only one way is allowed for traffic on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Road, during crowd time, traffic can go from Jijamata Chowk by turning left towards Phadke Haud, Daruwala Bridge & by turning right towards Desai College and using Desai College route, traffic can commute to their desired destination via Bajirao Road.

· If the crowd of Ganesh devotees becomes huge, for some time, the traffic, commuting from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Road, will be closed from Gadgil Putala. However, to go to other parts of the city, Kumbhar Ves route would be open.

· From Jijamata Chowk, for Ganesh Darshan on the eastern and western side, the route will remain open for pedestrians. However, the traffic coming from Phadke Haud and Jijamata Chowk would be closed in times of heavy to very heavy crowds.

· Budhwar Chowk route would remain open for pedestrians for Ganesh Darshan on the eastern and western side. However, during huge crowds, the traffic from Appa Balwant Chowk to Budhwar Chowk to Moti Chowk would remain closed.

· Since there is a huge influx of Ganesh devotees at Belbaug Chowk every year, for people going towards the eastern side from Belbaug Chowk, the one-way route would remain open from Belbag Chowk to Kenjale Chowk.

· For devotees coming from Sonya Maruti Chowk to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Road, they can use Kedari Chowk or Kenjale Chowk to turn right to go to Budhwar Chowk or turn right to go to Shrinath Talkies.

· One-way traffic would remain open from Belbag Chowk to Ganapati Chowk through Laxmi Road. From here, devotees can use Laxmi Road to turn left and go to Tulshibaug or turn right and go to Tambdi Jogeshwari Mandir Chowk.

· At times of huge traffic, the traffic flow on Laxmi Road will be closed from Sonya Maruti Chowk to Seva Sadan Chowk.

· Devotees can commute from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Road to Mandai Chowk by remaining on the right side. Just like that, by remaining on the left side, devotees can go to Rameshwar Chowk.

· Rameshwar Chowk to Shanipar Chowk would remain open for traffic. However, traffic would be closed on the route during huge crowds.
