Pune Porsche Accident: Vasant More Calls For Equal Attention To Nightlife Across City

Vasant More, a former corporator from the Pune Municipal Corporation, recently posted on Meta expressing his concerns following a fatal accident in Kalyani Nagar. More criticized the focus on Koregaon Park, Kalyani Nagar questioning whether nightlife exists only in this area. He argued that other areas of Pune, such as Kothrud, Mulshi (including Bhugav and Pirangut), and NIBM Kondhwa, also deserve attention regarding nightlife issues.

More highlighted that leaders who took action in Kothrud should equally address nightlife concerns in their localities. He pointed out the irony in assuming that young people visit Koregaon Park to drink alcohol while those in other areas presumably drink coconut water. This disparity in attention, he suggested, is unfair and needs rectification.

He warned that if the police system continues to target only Koregaon Park, it could lead to unrest. More emphasized that nightlife issues should be addressed across the entire city, not just in one neighborhood. If not, he hinted at potential violent movements by the Bahujan Aghadi, holding the corrupt system responsible.

Vasant More therefore called for a balanced approach, urging the police and political leaders to focus on the nightlife problems throughout Pune. This, he argued, would prevent future conflicts and ensure fair treatment for all parts of the city.
