Vishal Agarwal had been on the run since the incident, leading the Pune Police to deploy multiple teams to find him.

On Tuesday morning, a team from the Pune Police’s crime branch located and arrested Agarwal in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. He is expected to be brought to Pune by the afternoon and will be presented in court shortly thereafter. Vishal Agarwal was booked under sections 3, 5 and 199 of the Motor Vehicles Act and section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act for permitting his minor son to drive a car and allowing him to consume alcohol and drive despite knowing that he is a minor.
