Pune: Pramod Bhangire Urges PMC Immediate Water Supply For Undri Mahadevwadi Residents From Overhead Tanks Near Royale Heritage Mall
Pune, February 17, 2026: Pramod (Nana) Bhangire, Pune City Chief of Shiv Sena and former corporator of the Pune Municipal Corporation, has submitted a formal representation to the Municipal Commissioner, demanding the immediate start of regular water supply through theĀ constructed water tanks in Ward No. 41, Mahadevwadi, Undri area.
In his letter addressed to Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram Saheb, Bhangire stated that water tanks have been constructed at Survey No. 25, opposite Dorabjee Mall (The Royale Heritage Mall) in the UndriāMahadevwadi locality. He noted that these tanks could play a crucial role in easing the water crisis in the area, especially as residents are currently facing acute water scarcity during the summer season.
The representation pointed out that several housing societies and residents are receiving irregular and insufficient water supply, forcing many to depend on private water tankers for daily needs. Bhangire stressed that effective and well-planned utilization of the existing water tanks could ensure a sufficient and regular water supply to local citizens.
He also stated that PMC should increase the quota of drinking water tankers to the societies as we are gradually moving towards the summer season. In his letter he also insisted that the booster pumps installed near Hill Green School in Pisoli should be initiated so that the nearby societies don’t suffer water supply issues.
He urged the civic administration to immediately conduct a technical inspection of the tanks, complete the required repair and connectivity works, and commence regular water distribution without delay. Describing the issue as directly linked to the daily lives of citizens, Bhangire appealed for urgent and positive action from the municipal authorities to address the ongoing water crisis in the area.
