Pune Pulse had reported about the water issues faced by the residents of Megh Malhar Society in Bavdhan & the residents’ protest yesterday.

Taking note of it, the PMC has begun installing a water pipeline which will join the PMC’s existing water pipeline at LMD Chowk in Bavdhan.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Rahul Kondbhar, Resident of Megh Malhar Society, Bavdhan, said “The PMC has begun installing a water pipeline since today morning (11th November) which will join our Megh Malhar society. There is main pipeline at LMD Chowk. After the road is crossed our society’s connection pipeline is there. So, it will be joined with the main pipeline. It will resolve our water issues for good.”

Vaishali Jadhav, PMC 24*7 Water Supply Official, said “Since today itself (11th November), we have started installing a water pipeline from our main water pipeline at LMD Chowk which will join the water connection line of Megh Malhar society which is situated just after the road is crossed. The pipeline work will be completed within 2 to 3 days after which seamless & continuous water supply will be there for the society’s residents.”

On 10th November, Megh Malhar Society residents had staged a fierce protest as they do not get high pressure & seamless water supply –

Apart from low pressure water supply, tanker water is affecting the health of the members and many citizens are suffering from stomach ache, diarrhea and vomiting, hair loss, etc.
