On March 6, the Vigilance and Quality Control Circle, Public Works Department (PWD), inspected the quality of road from Lohegaon (Santnagar) to Dadachi Vasti.

As per further information shared by Sagar Khandve, President, NCP Youth Congress, Vadgoan Sheri Constituency, Today, the Vigilance and Quality Control Pune Circle Chief Engineer SA Kankrej and his team inspected the Kalas-Dhanori-Lohegaon-Wagholi road from Lohegaon (Santnagar) to Dadachi Vasti. The team has informed that the inspection report will be handed over to the PWD soon.

The first complaint application against the shoddy work of this road was given on 10/04/2023 on behalf of Sagar Shivaji Khandve. On 1/06/2023, the Maharashtra government had ordered an inquiry into this road.

Sagar Khandve, under the leadership of Founder President of Information Service Committee Chandrakant Warghade, sat on this poor road and went on a symbolic hunger strike on 16/06/2023 in order to conduct this investigation fairly at the earliest and take action against the relevant contractors and officials. After that, the inquiry was followed up by meeting the Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department, Atul Chavan.

In view of the poor quality of the said road, it is expected that through this inspection report, the Maharashtra government will take action against the culprits and order the road to be concreted again. But if that does not happen, relevant people will prepare to go to the High Court under the guidance of Information Services Committee Chairman Chandrakant Warghade.
