Pune Railway Security Force's Dog Squad Seizes Marijuana From Konark Express at Pune Station

On Thursday (October 5th), when Train No 11020 Bhubaneswar-Mumbai Konark Express arrived at Pune station, the Railway Security Force dog team and the Railway Security Force-Thane joint team at the station were carrying out regular inspection of the train at the station.

As per further information shared by Dr Ramdas Bhise, Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) And PRO Pune Railways, while checking the general class compartment of the train, they found a trolley bag in the compartment with no one around. After Drona, a dog of the Dog Squad, smelled the trolley, he alerted the handler jawan that there were some suspicious items in it. On inspection by the Railway Security Force team, the trolley was found to contain ganja with an estimated weight of 32 kg.

The seized drug has been handed over to GRP-Pune and a case under relevant section has been registered against an unknown person in GRP-Pune thana and action is on.

Dog Drona repeated his excellent and successful feat in which he helped seize nearly two kilos of drugs in a car just a few days ago.

Pune Divisional Railway Manager Indu Dubey and Senior Divisional Security Commissioner/Railway Security Force Uday Singh Pawar have again congratulated the Railway Security Force dog team personnel for this excellent performance.
