The condition of the NIBM-Undri road near Clover Hills Plaza has severely deteriorated, causing significant inconvenience and danger to commuters. Half of the road remains under construction, while the other half is in a deplorable state. Local residents are questioning the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pune City Traffic Police on their efforts to expedite the construction work and address issues of illegal parking.

The ongoing construction aims to reduce the road’s gradient from Clover Hills Society to Clover Hills Plaza, which has caused numerous accidents. Concrete spillage by Ready Mix Concrete trucks has exacerbated the situation, leading to several fatal accidents.

In response to the public’s concerns, PMC Executive Engineer Anil Sonavane told Pune Pulse, “Due to the rain, the plant is currently shut. It will take 2-3 days for the materials to dry out. Once that happens, we can resume work immediately. Only two days of work is left, and I assure you we will complete it as soon as possible. We are aiming to finish this work within a week.”

Despite government guidelines mandating the completion of all construction work before the monsoon season, this project has been ongoing for the past four months, causing severe disruption and posing a significant risk to public safety. Local residents are demanding prompt action from the authorities to resolve these issues and ensure the safety of all road users.
