Pune: Residents Of IVY Estate In Wagholi Celebrate Goverdhan Pooja And Annakut With Grand Community Event
On November 2, 2024, residents of IVY Estate’s Umang Premier gathered to celebrate the auspicious festival of Goverdhan Pooja and Annakut at the community’s temple. Organized by Sh. Satish Chand Goyal and family, who extended an open invitation to all residents, the annual event honored the tradition of offering gratitude and devotion.
The festival of Goverdhan Pooja, held the day after Diwali on the first day of the waxing moon in the month of Kartik, commemorates the divine protection of Lord Krishna, who lifted the Goverdhan mountain to shield the people of Braj from severe rains. As per tradition, on this day, cows are worshipped, and a grand variety of delicacies are prepared and offered to the Lord as part of the Annakut celebration, symbolizing abundance and community prosperity. The event highlighted the spirit of unity, devotion, and tradition among the residents of IVY Estate.
