Five-day celebration from March 19 to 23 to feature religious rituals and musical performances for devotees in Pune.


Devotees of Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple in Pune have a reason to celebrate as the temple prepares to mark its 42nd foundation anniversary with a series of special programs.

The celebrations are being organised by the Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Public Ganpati Trust along with Suvarnayug Tarun Mandal. As part of the event, a five-day music festival will be held from March 19 to March 23, starting on the occasion of the Hindu New Year festival Gudi Padwa.

According to trust president Sunil Rasane, the festival will take place daily from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the grounds of Nutan Marathi Vidyalaya School and Junior College on Shreemant Thorale Bajirao Peshwe Road.

The celebrations will begin on March 19 at 4:45 pm with a Ganesh Pujan ceremony, marking the formal start of the festival.

Parking arrangements for devotees have been made at the premises of Nutan Marathi Vidyalaya Marathi School. The music festival will be free and open to all, and the trust has appealed to citizens of Pune to participate in large numbers and be part of the celebrations.
