The Savitribai Phule Pune University released its MH SET answer key on Thursday, 2nd May. All those who have given the Maharashtra State Eligibility Test 2024 to become qualified applicants for various Assistant Professor roles in a plethora of universities and colleges are suggested to visit the official website to download the provisional answer key from https://setexam.unipune.ac.in.
Here are steps to download the answer key:
- Go to the official website at https://setexam.unipune.ac.in
- There will be a link on the homepage of the website to download the MH SET 2024 answer key; click on the link.
- The link will redirect you to a new window, where you have to fill in your login details and click submit.
- The MH SET answer key will pop up on your screen.
- Download the answer key and get a physical print out of the same for future requirements.

The Difference between NET and SET
Essentially both these tests are devised for the same goal — to select candidates for posts of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellow in colleges and universities. While the National Eligibility Test, as the name suggests, is conducted on a national level, Set or the State Eligibility Test, is conducted on a State level.
NET is conducted twice a year (June and December) while SET happens only once a year. If you qualify NET, you’re eligible for lectureship posts anywhere in the country, but if you clear SET, you are eligible in the state you gave it for.
SET materialised on the basis of a rational inkling of the authorities that a national eligibility test would not sufficiently represent regional differences in subjects. Countless candidates were in favour of writing the exam in their vernacular language. Therefore, SET was given as an option to all states and Union Territories, and allows candidates to write in both English or the respective regional language of the state.
The MH answer key is an essential tool for the candidate to analyse their performance and marks before the SET results are out and think about their options.
