SPPU Directs Colleges To Conduct FY BBA, BCA Exams From June 2

Pune, May 13: Undergraduate admissions have started at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). The university will conduct entrance exams for a few select undergraduate and five-year integrated programmes on May 15.

These exams will be held online in a proctored mode, allowing students to take them from home. Entrance tests are being conducted only for those courses where the number of applicants is higher than the available seats. These programmes are offered at the main Pune campus, Nashik sub-centre, and Ahilyanagar sub-centre.

According to SPPU Pro Vice Chancellor Parag Kalkar, there are around 1,300 seats for undergraduate courses and 150 seats for five-year integrated courses. He encouraged students to choose courses based on their interests and qualifications. Complete details are available on the university’s official website.

Some modern and popular courses include:

  • Four-year BA in Liberal Arts – 50 seats
  • B.Sc. in 3D Animation and VFX – 120 seats
  • B.Sc. in Data Science – 240 seats
  • B.Sc. in Blockchain Technology – 120 seats
  • Three-year BBA programmes – 40 to 60 seats each

Vocational courses like B.Voc in Renewable Energy Skills, Retail Management, and Manufacturing Technology offer 30 to 50 seats each.

Five-year integrated programmes are available in subjects such as:

  • Integrated MA in Buddhist Studies
  • MA in Pali, Dance, Music, Theatre
  • M.Sc. in Biotechnology

Admissions for these courses have officially begun, and students are encouraged to apply before the deadlines.
