Swatantra Theatre is set to bring an exciting theatrical experience with its Children’s Theatre Festival on the 7th and 8th of February. This festival will showcase young talents as they bring to life the glorious dynasties of India, offering audiences a chance to relive the rich heritage and legendary figures.
The performances will transport us through time, from the Mauryan Dynasty to the Gupta Dynasty, the Maratha Empire, and the Chola Dynasty. Witness history unfolds as children take on the roles of iconic figures—Samrat Ashoka embracing Buddhism, Kalidasa and Aryabhatta shaping the golden age of the Gupta Dynasty, and the brilliance of Chanakya in statecraft.
The Chola Dynasty will come alive with the visionary leadership of Raja Raja Chola, Rajendra Chola, and Aditha Karikalan, showcasing the grandeur of the Brihadeshwara Temple.
The Maratha Empire’s glory will be relieved through the powerful portrayal of a Shivaji Maharaj weaving it into the Shahiri way of storytelling .
