A Pune-based tech professional, Bhupendra Vishwakarma, recently shared a detailed LinkedIn post explaining why he chose to leave his job at Infosys without securing a backup offer. The post, which has since gone viral, highlights six key reasons that led to his decision, sparking widespread discussions about corporate culture and employee well-being.

In his candid post, Bhupendra called out several systemic issues within the company, many of which he believes are affecting employees across the tech giant. He explained that despite consistent hard work and performance, he faced financial stagnation, as his promotion from System Engineer to Senior System Engineer did not come with a salary increase. Furthermore, Bhupendra criticized the company for unfairly redistributing workloads when his team shrank, with no additional hires or support.

Bhupendra also pointed out the lack of career growth opportunities, citing that his assignment to a loss-making account limited his chances for advancement. The post also sheds light on the toxic client environment, where unrealistic expectations led to constant stress, and the absence of recognition for his efforts despite praise from peers and seniors.

Adding to his grievances, Bhupendra highlighted what he perceived as a regional bias in the allocation of onsite opportunities, with employees speaking certain languages being prioritized over others.

In his concluding remarks, Bhupendra emphasized the need for corporate managers to address these systemic flaws, warning that such practices could lead to a loss of talent and credibility for companies. His post has sparked an online debate, with many sharing similar experiences while others offered differing perspectives on corporate policies.

Infosys has yet to respond to the viral post, but it has certainly ignited important conversations about employee rights and corporate accountability in India’s IT sector.
