Pune To Get 7 New Police Stations, Maharashtra State Allots Rs 60 Crore Budget
The state government’s home ministry department approved seven new police stations for Pune city looking at the rapid development of the city in the last few decades. Over Rs 60 crore fund allocation has also been done for the same by the home department of the state of Maharashtra/ The work for new police stations shall soon begin, informed a senior police official.
At present Pune has 32 police stations. Among the Bharti Vidyapeeth, Sinhagad road. Chatushrungi, Loni Kalbhor, Hadapsar, Wanawadi, Kondhwa have been divided and new police stations have been created. Ambegaon, Nanded City, Baner, Kharadi, Wagholi, Kalepadal, Phursungi are the new police stations which have been approved. The spots on which these stations would come up have also been identified. Approval for 816 new personnel have also been approved for the same.
New Police Stations and Funds Approved:
Ambegaon – Rs 7 crores 9 Lakh
Nanded City Bazar- Rs 8 Crores 60 Lakh
Baner – Rs 8 Crores 60 Lakh
Kharadi – Rs 7 crores 50 Lakh
Wagholi – Rs 8 Cores 75 Lakh
Kalepadal – Rs 10 crores 24 Lakh
Phursungi – Rs 8 Crores 81 Lakh
