Proposal aims to enhance connectivity and boost development in Dhule district.

The Vande Bharat Express, renowned for its speed and comfort, may soon connect Pune and Dhule, bringing a significant boost to regional connectivity. Congress MP Dr. Shobha Bachhav from Dhule Lok Sabha Constituency recently met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in Delhi to propose the initiation of Vande Bharat Express services on the Pune-Dhule and Mumbai-Dhule routes. Dr. Bachhav emphasized the importance of improved transport links for the development of Dhule district and its integration with major cities.

Across India, Vande Bharat trains have successfully linked key cities, improving connectivity and providing passengers with a modern, fast, and comfortable travel option. Maharashtra is already benefitting from Vande Bharat services between Mumbai and Shirdi, Mumbai and Solapur, as well as Pune to Kolhapur and Hubli. Adding a Pune-Dhule route would further strengthen the state’s transport network.

Dr. Bachhav highlighted several developmental priorities for Dhule, including industrial growth, better infrastructure, and enhanced travel facilities. She stressed that the Vande Bharat Express would play a pivotal role in improving Dhule’s connectivity with major cities, aiding industrial progress and ensuring smoother travel for residents.

The Railway Minister has directed the railway department to conduct a detailed feasibility study and take necessary action. Additionally, Dr. Bachhav has engaged Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to push for the approval of National Highway Authority projects in Dhule, aiming to expedite the completion of pending road and bridge works in the region.

Meanwhile, the Union Ministry of Health has announced plans to establish AYUSH hospitals in select districts of Maharashtra. Dr. Bachhav has requested the inclusion of Dhule in this initiative, underscoring the need for enhanced healthcare facilities in her constituency.

As discussions progress, the proposed Vande Bharat Express service between Pune and Dhule is anticipated to become a reality in the near future, potentially by the coming year. If implemented, this development will mark a new chapter in Dhule’s journey toward growth and accessibility.
