Pune: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis held a high-level review meeting at Sahyadri Guest House to discuss the 100-day action plan for key departments, including Public Works, Marketing, Tourism, School Education, and Backward Class Welfare. The meeting focused on addressing Pune-related projects and statewide development priorities.

Key Highlights from the Meeting:

Tourism Initiatives for Pune and Surrounding Areas:

– The government plans to establish the historic Purandar Shivsrushti in Ambegaon, Pune, under the Swadesh Darshan scheme, aiming to boost heritage tourism.

– Development of five Shivsrushti theme parks across Maharashtra, with accelerated implementation.  

– Tourism police will be deployed across the state for enhanced visitor safety.  

Public Works and Infrastructure in Pune:

– Speedy completion of the Mumbai-Pune Missing Link Project on the expressway.  

– Comprehensive improvements to Maharashtra’s highways, with the Samruddhi Mahamarg’s final phase completion set for February.  

– Enhanced road network plans, emphasizing quality and broader coverage.  

School Education Upgrades:

– Expansion of the ‘Cycle Distribution Scheme’ for female students to encourage school attendance.  

– Mandatory implementation of the State Song in schools to promote Marathi language awareness.  

– A plan to develop one school per cluster as a ‘CM Shree School’ under the model of the PM Shree School initiative.  

– Teacher recruitment to be expedited to address staffing gaps.

Marketing and Agriculture:

– Establishment of Agro Hubs along the Samruddhi Mahamarg under the Magnet Project, ensuring facilities for farmers and traders.  

– Plans to enhance onion storage facilities to support farmers.  

– Initiatives to streamline the soybean procurement process with timely registration and preparatory measures starting in October.  

Digital and AI Integration:

– Use of AI-powered tools for government communication, including chatbots and online translation systems, to enhance public engagement.  

– Establishment of an AI newsroomto expedite information dissemination.  

Welfare and Economic Empowerment:

– Creation of a web portal to support beneficiaries of Nomadic Tribe Development Corporations.  

– Increase in loan limits for the personal interest subsidy scheme under these corporations.  

Pune-Specific Tourism and Economic Boost:

The CM emphasized the importance of boosting tourism in Pune, Amravati, Nagpur, Nashik, and Aurangabad by establishing centers of excellence through Mahajyoti. Projects like the Purandar Shivsrushti and accelerated development of the Samruddhi Mahamarg are expected to enhance Pune’s economic and cultural landscape.

Key ministers, including Dadaji Bhuse, Shivendra Singh Raje Bhosale, Shambhuraj Desai, Jaykumar Rawal, and state officials like Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, participated in the discussions.  

With these directives, CM Fadnavis aims to fast-track Pune’s development while addressing the state’s broader infrastructure, tourism, and education needs.
