As per the annual adjustment of toll rates, travelers using the Khed-Shivapur toll plaza on the Pune-Satara highway can anticipate a significant increase in fees effective April 1. The Pune-Satara Toll Road Administration has confirmed the impending hike in toll rates.

With the adjustment, the toll rates for cars, jeeps, and light vehicles will see a rise of five rupees, requiring them to pay 120 rupees for toll fees. Similarly, commercial light vehicles will face a similar increase, now amounting to 190 rupees. Previously, buses and trucks paid 390 rupees, but they will now be charged 400 rupees. Heavy vehicles, previously at 415 rupees, will now pay 420 rupees. Oversized vehicles will also experience a hike, with toll fees increasing by 15 rupees to 630 rupees.

Amit Bhartiya, the administrator of the Pune-Satara toll road, noted, “Toll rates change annually, and this year, there has been a substantial increase in toll rates, effective from April.”

Additionally, the monthly pass fees for local residents’ vehicles have increased by ten rupees. Under the new toll rates, local residents will now be required to pay 340 rupees for a monthly pass. These adjustments aim to accommodate the operational and maintenance costs associated with the toll plaza while ensuring continued service for commuters along the Pune-Satara highway.
