The Pune Traffic Police have announced the implementation of alternate routes as traffic will be temporarily closed on NDA Pashan Road due to the installation of girders as part of the ongoing flyover and road development work at Chandni Chowk on the Mumbai Bangalore Highway under the Warje Traffic Department.

A total of nine girders are scheduled to be installed on NDA Pashan Road, necessitating the closure of traffic during the installation process. In order to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic, Vijayakumar Magar, DCP Traffic Pune, has issued an order under Sections 115, 116(1) (a) (b), 116(4), and 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act, outlining temporary changes to the traffic on Mumbai Bangalore Highway (NDA Pashan Road). These changes will be in effect from 4th July 2023 to 15th July 2023, between 00:30 am and 3:30 am.

Heavy vehicles are strictly prohibited from entering the alternate routes. The following alternate routes have been designated for light and four-wheeler vehicles:

  1. Traffic traveling from Satara to Mumbai Highway should proceed to their desired destination via Vedbhavan Service Road towards Mumbai.
  2. Traffic traveling from Mumbai to Satara should be diverted to Pashan Road. Through Ramp no. 6, commuters can continue towards their desired destination in the Warje area.

It is crucial for motorists to adhere to these alternate routes and cooperate with the Pune Traffic Police to ensure a safe and efficient traffic flow during the closure period. The temporary changes are necessary to facilitate the girder installation and road development work, which will ultimately enhance the infrastructure and improve connectivity in the area.

Motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly and consider the alternate routes provided. The Pune Traffic Police will closely monitor the situation and make any necessary adjustments to minimize inconvenience to commuters. Regular updates and announcements will be made to keep the public informed about the progress of the work and any subsequent changes to the traffic arrangements on NDA Pashan Road.
