The Pune Traffic Police have issued provisional orders regarding ban on cargo vehicles on several roads in the city in order to maintain smooth traffic flow.

As per further information from Pune Traffic Police, as the parking space in Pune city is used by cargo vehicles during loading and unloading, no parking space is available for other vehicles. Therefore, orders have been issued to change the traffic system on a temporary basis by canceling all orders issued earlier.

Entry of cargo vehicles banned on these roads

In Pune city, from 23 March (Saturday) from 9 am to 12 pm and from 4 pm to 9 pm, entry has been banned for cargo vehicles on Sant Kabir Chowk to Tilak Chowk on Laxmi Road, S G Barve Chowk to Jedhe Chowk on Shivaji Road, Puram Chowk to Gadgil Putala Chowk on Bajirao Road, Tilak Chowk on Kelkar Road to Appa Balwant Chowk, Tilak Chowk to Shanipar Chowk on Kumthekar Road, Tilak Chowk to Jedhe Chowk on Tilak Road, S Go Barve Chowk to Khandojibaba Chowk on Jangli Maharaj Road, Khandojibaba Chowk to Veer Chaphekar Chowk on Fergusson College Road, Khandojibaba Chowk to Paud Phata on Karve Road, Pandol Apartment Chowk to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Putala Chowk and North Main Road, Koregaon Park Junction to Tadigutta Chowk in Koregaon Park.

It has also been informed that this change will not apply to essential service vehicles.
