Pune: Training Aircraft Crashes Near Baramati Airport
Pune, May 13, 2026: A two-seater training aircraft crashed near Baramati airport in Pune district on Wednesday afternoon, triggering concern among local residents and aviation authorities. The incident reportedly took place in Gojubavi village near the airport premises, according to preliminary information shared by Pune Rural Police.
Officials said the aircraft was being used for pilot training when the crash occurred. Emergency teams and local police rushed to the spot soon after receiving information about the incident. Authorities are yet to confirm the cause of the crash or provide details regarding casualties and damage.
The incident has drawn attention as it comes just months after a plane linked to Ajit Pawar reportedly crashed in the same Baramati area.
