Pune: Unauthorized Hawkers and Encroachments Create Concerns in Viman nagar
Residents of Shubh Gateway Co-operative Housing Society, located on New Airport Road, Vimannagar, are grappling with a pressing issue of unauthorized hawkers and encroachments impacting their daily lives. The situation has escalated, prompting urgent action due to several key concerns raised by the residents.
Security has become a major worry as the presence of these hawkers has attracted anti-social elements, leading to incidents of rowdy behavior, especially during late hours. Noise disturbances have also plagued the area, with the congregation of people around these makeshift shops causing significant disruptions to the peace and tranquility of the society. The residents have written a letter to the Building and Construction department of Pune Municipal Corporation seeking their help in removing the hawkers and encroachment.
Furthermore, hygiene concerns have arisen from the substantial garbage and waste generated by these unauthorized vendors, often left unmanaged, deteriorating the cleanliness of the surroundings and posing health risks. Traffic congestion has compounded the issues, as vehicles, including cab drivers, park haphazardly to access these shops, causing severe jams that inconvenience residents and visitors alike.
Residents emphasize the need for immediate measures to address and resolve these issues to uphold the welfare and reputation of their community.
