Pune:Â Venus Art Festival To Be Held From June 10 To 15
A plethora of artistic experiences for artists, students, and art enthusiasts
Pune, June 5, 2025: Art enthusiasts in Pune will have the opportunity to indulge in various art forms under one roof at the upcoming Venus Art Festival. The 11th edition of this festival will be held from June 10 to June 15 at the Raja Ravi Varma Art Gallery on Ghole Road. The festival will be open to all from 11 am to 7 pm, and entry is free.
The festival will feature art exhibitions, painting competitions, and various workshops. Organizer Surendra Karamchandani said, “As art enthusiasts, we wanted to create a platform for artists of all ages to showcase their talent.” The festival will include exhibitions of paintings by professional artists, amateur artists, art students, and school students.
The festival will begin with an inauguration ceremony on June 10 at 5 pm, where MP Medha Kulkarni, Dr. Sunil Ingale, President of the Indian Medical Association and Sunil Ballal, Deputy Commissioner (In charge Cultural Department) Pune Municipal Corporation will be present. The event will also feature the unveiling of P L vintage signature edition pen dedicated to renowned writer P L Deshpande and the distribution of prizes for the painting competition.
During the festival, exhibitions of Camlin, Pan Art, and premium inks will be on display from June 13 to 15. Workshops will also be conducted by Urban Sketchers Pune, Portrait Group, and Sanskar Bharti, allowing Pune residents to participate.
The painting competition has received an impressive response, with numerous entries from four categories: professional artists, amateur artists, art students, and school students. A selection of more than 150 paintings will be displayed during the festival, and cash prizes will be awarded to the top three entries in each category. The Venus Kala Mahotsav is being organized to mark the 51st anniversary of Venus Traders.
