Pune : Wine shop owner robbed in Narhe
Pune: The Police reported that an unidentified person attempted to rob a wine shop in Narhe’s busy market area by firing a shot in the air to intimidate the owner.
The incident occurred around 11:00 pm on Sunday at Hero Wine shop when the owner, Tukaram Sopan Ingale, was leaving after closing his shop. Two individuals on a motorcycle approached Ingale and attempted to steal Rs 2.19 lakh from him. When Ingale resisted, one of the accused fired a bullet in the air to threaten him.
The accused then demanded money, but Ingale refused to comply. The accused fled the scene on their motorcycle, and the wine shop’s staff assisted Ingale. Ingale has registered a case at Sinhgad road police station, and the police have launched a search operation to apprehend the accused.
A case has been registered under sections 386 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The police are examining CCTV footage to identify the accused.
